Hi,

New on Odoo and using Free Trial but I can't find the version I'm using ... sorry.

I created many articles categories for the Point of Sales in order to see these categories when I have to count what the client should pay me ... and I now realise that all these categories are not available for my Webshop    :-(

I mean that I should create them another time when I complete the articles : "category for the webshop".

Where do we manage de Webshop Categories ? And isn't it possible to say something like "duplicate all categories from POS to the Webshop" ? Or just click "same category that for the webshop" ?

Thx

The webshop (eCommerce) categories are managed in the Settings of the website module.

These categories serve different purposes. The POS categories must be defined to ensure efficient and fast encashment for the teller. The website categories serve the purpose of presenting your range of products clearly arranged and easily retrievable for website visitors.

If you nevertheless want to use the same categories for both purposes, you can easily export the categories, manipulate the .csv file accordingly and reimport them for example. Please be aware that by default products can be assigned to multiple eCommerce categories, whereas this is not valid for POS categories. But there are modules available for this, for example https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/11.0/pos_category_multi/.
