Hello Odoo community,


Fairly new to Odoo, I am looking for a method to have the creation of new projects 'locked' behind an approval flow in Odoo 17.0.

I tried searching the web, forum and the documentation, but with the information about Studio (odoo.com/documentation/17.0/applications/studio/approval_rules.html [not yet enough Karma to share a clickable link] ) 

I seem not to be able to figure out which 'view' I have to choose to use Studio to enable the approvals option to create new projects.

Would this be possible with simple Studio?
Any hint in which direction I can continue my search?


Or should I consider that only a small sub-group of users can create a new project?

Hello Flavio,


Thank you for your suggestion. I am not too familiar yet with Odoo automations. Are you suggesting here that an approval task should be created for someone with approval privileges and that the Automation will take care of the creation of the project and potentially filling-out some project properties automatically?

maybe with an automation you could assing a taks to a person who can approve the project
