Hello.

I am currently experimenting with Odoo on a POS device with its thermal printer. The system functions smoothly through web access and the Odoo app; however, I encounter an issue when attempting to print. The process halts at "preparing preview," and nothing further transpires. Notably, the thermal printer operates efficiently with other applications and it is possible even to print automatically once the payment is done.

I've come across information suggesting that Odoo is compatible only with Epson printers. Could you kindly advise if there is a specific driver or any Odoo-related installation required to address this printing concern?

I had this answer from Odoo team. Maybe it can be usefull for someone else. The printer in my Android POS device uses Bluetooth:

"Thermal printers need a WiFi or Ethernet connection to connect to Odoo.

Odoo supports thermal printers using ePOS, ESC/POS or StarPRNT communication protocol.

Depending on the communication protocol used, you may or may not need to add an IoT box to connect the printer."
