I have a website and I want to restrict access to some of the pages only to logged in users.

But users should not be able to just create account and have access right away. I want to be able to review who they are and only if they indeed should have the access then I want to accept their entry and let them in.

How do I do this? Is there a module or a hidden option for this? Or if I need to - how do I write something like this myself?
