How do I include reference designators in BOM?

Reference designators are like locations or addresses that specify where each components are to be installed in the assembly.

Thanks for the help.

By enabling Work Orders, you can enable the "consumed in operation" column to BOM's as well as add work centres and steps to "operations"

The Documentation at https://www.odoo.com/documentation/master/applications/inventory_and_mrp/manufacturing/management/bill_configuration.html#adding-operations is not really ready, but if you better describe your requirement, we can document it here!

Here is a sample few lines of what a BOM with reference designators could look like. Linking them to "Consume in Operations" may not work as reference designators are BOM specific. The same component could be at different reference designators for different BOMs and at different operations steps.

Component MPN, Qty, Reference Designator

GRM188R60J476ME15D, 2, "C1, C3"

0402WGF1201TCE, 3, "R3, R6, R17"
