I am trying to add a vendor to around 90 products, when exporting the database then trying to import it with the vendor it is trying to duplicate the database and shows errors.
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project
- MRP

Before you export your list of products make sure you add this vendor to one of these products.
Next you export all products for which you want to add this vendor (incl. the one that for which you just added this vendor).
Export the following fields:
- External ID
- Vendors/Vendor/External ID
Your XLSX should look something like this:
Now copy the vendor for the single product that has a vendor specified, so all products contain the same value for the vendor. Save the file and import this in Odoo. Always run Test first, before you import.
Now the other (in your case 89) products should have this vendor as well. See example below.
I hope this helps!
Make sure each product in your database has a unique identifier, such as
a SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) or a product ID. This is crucial for
accurately updating and managing your product data.
That's great, thanks. I'll get there slowly...
