I am trying to add a field called 'percentage' for my components tab in my BoM. can anyone help me add it using UI without coding?

Are you using studio? if not then field must exist in .py so u could add it from edit form view .
I tried updating using form view. However, I am able to add fields near the product, ection. And not under the components tab.
You might need to update mrp.bom.line model if you are trying to modify the components line
