If I try to download v8.0 for windows via the download part on the website I get a 404 not found. URL resulting in the 404 is :
http://nightly.openerp.com/trunk/nightly/exe/openerp-allinone-setup-8.0dev-latest.exe

UPDATE: Nightly has finally started as of the 31st of August. You can now download a windows version of odoo v8 Release Candidate 1.

This is because odoo v8 has not yet been released (currently it is in Release Candidate 1). If you look in: http://nightly.odoo.com you will see that there are no exe builds of v8rc1 yet. You can build it yourself or wait a few more weeks until odoo v8 is finally release (or you can install a unix instance under VirtualBox for free).
