 Hi All,

I am a completely newb at being a developer for odoo eventhough my company is currently using the program (i believe its the free ware). Was wondering if theres a full guide for the Odoo community version (free)?

My goal is to use the free version (i have downloaded v13) and have 4 modules: accounting, sales, purchase, and invoicing on it.

I have installed the v13 and have my database created, but if I want to add the accounting module it says upgrade and it will direct me to a subscription page.

I know this is probably a stupid question but is it because my database is still hosted by Odoo i.e. i need to host the database myself in order to access all module for free?

Any help is appreciated

Many thanks in advance

Yes you can, look @my Link @my post.

You only need some Hardware and you can install odoo on there. Yes, if you do full productive it is better you install odoo in a Data center. My Odoo runs @home on my Proxmox Server very fine.

You can also install Odoo on Ubuntu, but with that i had no luck with Nginx Reverseproxy in the past. https://www.odoo.com/documentation/13.0/setup/install.html#linux

Hope this helps.

Please make yourself familiar with the Odoo editions: https://www.odoo.com/page/editions. Please visit the Odoo Community Assocations website to learn about the OCA modules to fill the gap to the enterprise edition: https://www.odoo-community.org .

And don't forget to activate the option "Show full accounting features" in the user preferences, there you'll find all basic accounting features necessary to run a company.

Yes you need. You can follow my Howto: https://deepdoc.at/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=server_und_serverdienste:installation_odoo13_auf_centos8

If you activate the developermode in the settings, you can update all modules. And at the moment i can't update the Odoo in this centOS, don't now why. But we looking forward.
