how can i import a chart of accounts in odoo 12 , and if there is a template to edit and import

i tried to import but there is a criteria i don't know

When importing, you need the following fields

1. Code

2. Name

3. Type

1 and 2 are free to choose, for 3 you have to choose from existing types. If you export a COA and also export this field, you probably have all the options you have available. On import, make sure you use the exact same name, or even better, the External ID of the type. 

Another field which can come in handy to import is 'Allow reconciliation' with values true or false. Once an account move has been made on an account, it's not possible to change this field. transition accounts, accounts payable and receivable are the usual reconciliation accounts. Sometimes, there are some extra intermediate accounts that could also benefit from reconciliation.

The best way to import is to export first by selecting "Update data (import-compatible export)".

This means, select chart of account items and export,  build your COA on top of those standards, and then import.
