Stefano Rigano (sri)Done
I'm a freelance solution architect based in the north of Italy with both functional and technical knowledge Working with Odoo since 2007.
Pandas is an open source, BSD-licensed library providing high-performance, easy-to-use data structures and data analysis tools for the Python programming language. With Pandas we can improve the Business Intelligence capabilities of Odoo by introducing mathematical functions as well as a new level of performance. Pandas also provides a better way to handle CSV files that we can use to speed up the import of external data. This talk will suit both experts and beginners and will deliver informations to take the cue from. We'll talk about Pandas itself, demonstrating its capabilities. Furthermore I'll show a real use case where Pandas was used, together with Odoo, to manage the processing of astronomical data acquired by a radio-telescope taking part to the SETI programme, in order to discover signs of extra-terrestrial form of life. Odoo has been used to give students and scientists a tool to collect, filter, group and plot the data.
