APOPO is a non-profit organisation that trains animals (HeroRATs and HeroDOGs) to detect landmines and tuberculosis using scent detection, developing and deploying this low-tech but highly effective tool across multiple countries. Sanabel Nour also engages in home restoration projects for those in need and provides essential items such as clothing, toys, household goods, and food rations, working tirelessly to alleviate poverty and improve the lives of marginalized groups.
Partnering with NavyBits, Sanabel Nour implemented Odoo ERP system to streamline its operations and enhance transparency in donor management and resource allocation. With Odoo’s integrated platform, the organization now benefits from efficient tracking of donations, inventory management for essential supplies, and automated reporting on project outcomes. NavyBits tailored the system to Sanabel Nour’s specific needs, enabling the organization to focus on its mission while ensuring operational efficiency and maximizing its impact on the communities it serves.

Society for Health Extension and Development (SHED) is one of the oldest and well-known Cox’s Bazar based National NGO, has been working for transforming life, livelihoods and skills of resource-poor towards better and improved status since its inception on 1989. Initially, the organization was formed to continue health extension facilities in the area to bridge the gaps that created due to the closure of ICDDR,B’s operation in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. In its 31 years journey, in partnership with different international, national and UN agencies SHED has provided different ranges of services towards the poor and under privileged people of Cox’s Bazar and Chittagong which includes better health services, enriched maternal and child nutrition, enhanced food security and livelihoods, improved sanitation and hygiene, forest and biodiversity conservation through co-management approach, disaster risk reduction, awareness and education on environmental conservation, HIV/ AIDS, family planning, etc. Moreover, as a Cox’s Bazar based national NGO, SHED has been supporting different UN agencies – such as UNICEF, WFP and IOM and different international organizations – such as ACF, Solidarity International, Handicap International in implementing a different project for assuring food security, livelihoods, health services, maternal and child nutrition, water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) support, and enhancing resilience and reduce the vulnerability of both refugees and host community people since the influx of Rohingya refugees in the area on August 2017. At present, SHED is providing humanitarian support to 335,540 local people of Cox’s Bazar and 224,234 Rohingya refugees in partnership with different UN agencies and international organizations.
