Over the past few years, the Odoo team has been fine-tuning the platform to make it more relevant and responsive to Indonesian business needs. Here are the features avialable:
1. e-Faktur (Coretax)
e-Faktur is an electronic invoicing system developed by the Indonesian Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) for creating, managing, and reporting tax invoices (Faktur Pajak) for VAT-liable transactions.
Since early 2024, the Indonesian government has rolled out a new e-Faktur system called Coretax, replacing the old CSV format with a more structured XML format.
From version 16.0 onward, Odoo now supports:
- Generating and downloading Coretax-compliant XML e-Faktur files directly from Odoo.
- XML files that follow DJP’s official structure.
⚠️ Once downloaded, e-Faktur files cannot be edited.
Any changes to the invoice will not update the e-Faktur XML. Only the first version is valid. So, if you’d like to generate an updated one, you must create & confirm a new invoice.
2. Shopee Integration
Online shopping has become a key part of business strategy in Indonesia. From version 18.0, Odoo includes native integration with Shopee in the standard version.
With this connector:
- Orders from Shopee sync automatically with Odoo.
- Sales, inventory, and invoicing data are linked seamlessly.
- Omnichannel businesses can operate more efficiently.

3. Local Payment Methods
Odoo now supports integration with Xendit and InterActiveQRIS, enabling local payment methods such as QRIS, bank transfers, e-wallets, and even paylater.
This integration helps businesses in Indonesia offer payment options that are widely used and trusted by the public—all while keeping everything synced within Odoo.
4. Tax Regulation Adjustments
One unique challenge in Indonesia’s tax system is the 11/12 VAT base calculation, resulting in an effective 11% tax rate even though the invoice shows 12%. To support this:
- Odoo now calculates and displays the 11/12 DPP value on invoices and reports.
- The tax setup includes new groups for luxury and non-luxury goods.
ℹ️ Currently in final testing. Coming soon to the standard version.
