In the past, Viessmann managed everything on Excel sheets: one for CRM, another for sales records, and more that documented every minute detail, for instance, inventory.


Being the first ERP tool Viessmann deploys for its sales team in Vietnam, Odoo wins the heart of the division for digitally transforming CRM and the entire sales process while helping the team to implement a more effective sales strategy evaluation mechanism.


With Odoo CRM integrated with the Sales module, the team can design custom pricing strategies to maximize the chances of winning deals. Thanks to the integration, salespeople are able to view every unique customer journey on Odoo sales to reach out to the leads with the right approach at the right time. The first and most apparent improvement is a centralized and automated online work process supported by Odoo. Previously, project communication between internal teams and external vendors was largely manual and prone to human error. Using Odoo Manufacturing and Inventory daily, the Viessmann manufacturing team now gets to standardize procedures.


Once a case is won, the team will receive an automated request: purchase and manufacturing orders on the synonymous Odoo apps for producing the goods or a dropshipping or stock transfer request if the inventory allows it.


Within the apps, manufacturing managers can easily assign tasks by viewing the built-in "Planning by Production" and "Planning by Workcenter" schedules, facilitating a more efficient work process. The same happens on Odoo Inventory, where the system automatically reserves products in stock once a sales ticket comes in to avoid double selling by always keeping the most updated version of the stocklist. Generating BoMs, project orders, and quality checks are also automated on Odoo, contributing to a streamlined SOP.


The instantaneously updated stocklist also contributes to the accurate reports that the management found helpful in evaluating business management. These reports reflect sales performance. For instance, the team is able to discover product trends and identify unique spending habits based on season and reason, hence updating the company sales strategies for individualized service.
