From manual encoding to autopilot
FORMA 2 LLC made the switch to Odoo at the beginning of 2024, to modernize the way they record and manage working time and project data. For many years, the company tracked data through Excel spreadsheets. While functional, this system was time-consuming, prone to errors and difficult to manage, particularly in terms of data confidentiality between employees from different departments. Generating comprehensive and easy-to-analyze reports required extensive manual compilation and cross-referencing data from multiple source files. Ultimately, these processes were labor-intensive and inefficient.
The decision to switch software was primarly driven by the need for a scalable and secure solution that could simplify and improve data management. Initially, FORMA 2 LLC considered optimizing and continuing to use Excel sheets. The QuickStart implementation
To implement Odoo, FORMA 2 LLC worked closely with MIDIS, an official partner from Latvia. Together, they mapped the company’s previous processes and identified how they could be optimized to align with Odoo’s standard functionalities. One of the first challenges was finding a balance between adapting legacy processes and using a new software out-of-the-box.
