Engineer Guaita worked for 11 years at Argentina’s regulatory authority, leading the harmonization of regulations within Mercosur. The Challenge: Managing Growth with
Fragmented Tools
Before using Odoo, MMGC faced operational challenges that created vulnerabilities in the face of sustained company growth. Internal processes relied heavily on emails and spreadsheets, such as Microsoft Excel. While information was organized, it was difficult to access in a quick way, increasing the risk of duplicating efforts and delays.

In addition, MMGC operates under an ISO 13485–based quality management system, which requires strict control over documentation, processes, and data security. The company needed an integrated solution capable of managing the entire project lifecycle (from first client contact to invoicing) while ensuring regulatory compliance and real-time profitability tracking.
From Isolated Tools to Integrated Operations with Odoo

MMGC assigned a biomedical engineering intern to assess various ERP software solutions, considering security, adaptability, and ease of integration with the company’s internal processes. After a thorough evaluation, Odoo was selected as the best solution to centralize and automate operations.
Customer Management and Integrated CRM: MMGC initially implemented the CRM application to manage opportunities and prospective customers, and the Contacts application to record all client and partner information. This allowed for a more structured follow-up on each project and client.

Project Management: The Project application is used to track each regulatory project by country and client, centralizing real-time information on the status of each process. Before Odoo, this tracking was not automated and required much more work. With Odoo, simply searching a product code shows its status in seconds.
Cost traceability and quick access to project- and country-specific information are now possible thanks to the integration of Analytic Accounting, which allows monitoring profitability and making informed decisions without relying on time-consuming manual processes.
Invoicing, Purchases, and Accounting: Odoo has centralized client and partner invoicing, as well as sales and purchase order management. Integration with Accounting ensures that every transaction is recorded correctly and that financial reports are available in real time.

Document Management and Digital Signatures: MMGC uses the Documents and Sign applications to store contracts, procedures, instructions, and regulatory records, integrating them with its ISO 13485-based quality management system. This ensures that confidential information is secure and accessible to those who need it. Additionally, the company developed a custom Studio application to store records and invoices dating back to the time before Odoo was implemented, consolidating all historical data in one place.
Automations and Internal Communication: The use of internal chat and Odoo task assignments, combined with custom scheduled automation, allows the team to be notified about project statuses and billing tasks, reducing errors and improving efficiency. This ensures that projects progress as planned and that critical information is always visible to team members.
Surveys: Using the survey tool, MMGC conducts internal evaluations, such as assessing the effectiveness of employee training programs, and externally, it uses the tool to gather feedback from its customers and partners to drive continuous improvement
Email Marketing: MMGC uses the Email Marketing application to promote its services, activities, and regulatory updates to its network of contacts.
Looking Ahead

With its database and processes now centralized, MMGC plans to continue growing and expanding its international services. The company also aims to implement additional Odoo tools, such as dashboards, to generate key performance indicators and more detailed visual analytics, integrated with Power BI.
