I am a paying customer and self hosting. I do not want to present my clients with crappy looking email templates that - on top of looking like spam from the early internet days - have a "powered by the most broken ERP" in the footer.

I am aware I can customise email templates in settings > technical > email templates.
Yet, as we all know, it does not actually let you customize the TEMPLATE. it lets you customise A PART OF the template (the inner text, really).

The whole email template still is following Odoo's weird style and features a "Powered by odoo" in the footer
It is all boxed into a great box, which has a nested white box, which then has the template content we can customise.

This is not "customisation". It is not what I pay for. And it is not what a (serious) company can throw at their clients.

How can these templates be FULLY customised please?
(and no, none of the available modules or third party apps actually do work. Also, it should not be necessary to use a third party app to debrand and customise something as simple and yet as personal as an email template)

@odoo: you already charge money for the service even if self hosted. You charge per user, even if self hosted. None of this generates ANY cost for you if self hosted. I am questioning your practice to ALSO force your labelling on paid, self hosting customers.

Thank you kindly.

@omnitelroleaccount, huh.
YES:

I'vI've learned that odoo can’t even manage its own forums properly (I mean, comon, people can’t even comment. They need some ”karma”. So they end up polluting threads with answers that are actual questions)

There’s so many things wrong with odoo that I plain out decided to use singular, dedicated tools by providers who actually make their tools work.

Unfortunate because the purchase of odoo is irrefundable. But believe me, the sooner you realize this, the sooner you can stop hurting yourself trying to get anything to work in odoo. Everything is a little broken, making it all totally useless.

I suggest you look for other solutions. Check what you need, then either purchase or get a real foss that addresses that particular problem.

I have the same problem. I also am struggling to find a solution.

Have you learned anything further on this?
