Goodnight,

I have a sql query that returns data from a (self.env.cr.dictfetchall ()), the data is returned correctly, but I don't know how to pass the data to a qweb report. I'm trying:

pass it as if it were a variable but it seems that it must be a model field, what type should the fields be? or if there is another way to pass the data to it.

Hi,

You can pass the values to the report like this,

@api.multi
def print_report(self):
self.ensure_one()
[data] = self.read()
data['emp'] = self.env.context.get('active_ids', [])
employees = self.env['hr.employee'].browse(data['emp'])
datas = {
'ids': [],
'model': 'hr.employee',
'form': data
}
return self.env.ref('hr_holidays.action_report_holidayssummary').report_action(employees, data=datas)

here in the above code datas is dictionary of datas that we will pass to the report, if you need to pass more details like you can add it to the datas dictionary, suppose if i need to pass more details,

datas = {
'ids': [],
'model': 'hr.employee',
'form': data,
'test': [1, 2, 3, 4]
}

In the above code you can see i have added a list to the datas dictionary this will be available in the template.

Also there are option to do the same using the render_html function, which will get executed while creating PDF report, see this: How To Call A Python Function While Printing PDF Report in Odoo

thanks and in the template, as I refer??, what would be the name of the variable.

Dimas Aditya Kristianto

This is not working. if you want to add more variable into report, I suggest add one more field in the model.

OR

if you want to really custom the report, see this https://www.odoo.com/forum/help-1/how-to-passing-docids-and-data-to-report-action-at-the-same-time-230231

but you better look at some method that already exist in odoo by searching _get_report_values method in odoo base to give you hint
