Hi all,

I configured a WhatsApp Business Account in Odoo 17 following this documentation. When I click on "Test Connection" I receive a success message saying "Credentials are valid". I also have a "Hello World" WhatsApp template approved which applies to the Contact model.

Then I go to the Contacts app, I select a contact with a correct WhatsApp number, I click on the WhatsApp button and I select the "Hello World" template. When I click on "Send Message" I see on the Chatter a red WhatsApp icon. When I hover over this icon says "Failed to send" 😢

¿Can anyone help me to identify what can be wrong? ¿Is there a way to see more details about this error?

Thanks,

Ernesto

Hi

I found a solution (it worked for me)

When I configured Whatsapp it happens me the same, and (at least for me) the problem was in the step of configuring the permanent token.

At firts, when I created the user to configure the permanent token (in Meta), the user had only "user access", so instead I created an user with "Administrator Access" and then I did the following steps that where in the WhatsApp Documentation.

If you do this, remember to update the "Access Token" inside the WhatsApp Business account in Odoo.

I Hope this solution may help you.

Hi,

When operating your Meta app in development mode, it's crucial to note that test messages can be sent only to the configured phone numbers, with a maximum limit of five recipient phone numbers. This limitation is inherent to the development mode, permitting the inclusion of only five mobile numbers in the WhatsApp API setup for testing purposes. If the need arises to send messages to more numbers, it is advisable to switch the app to live mode.

Hello,

Are you configure Sandbox account or what?'

In case of sandbox account you can sent only message to the self registered number.

I have the same problem, the WhatsApp messages are sent only in the templates, the clients respond and everything is fine, but when the administrator answers in the conversation the messages that say failed are never sent.

I am using Odoo 17.0+e (Enterprise Edition)

I test in Odoo saas~16.4+e Enterprise Version, using the same WhatsApp Business Accun and everything works well, I can receive and send messages to clients without problems

I have the same issue, i have opened a ticket with odoo support but there hasnt been any answer yet.

When a customer sends a message we receive it in odoo but cannot reply, it says sending failed and when we click on retry it stays in the queue and never is sent but the icon turns green in the chat as if it had been sent.

If i send a template message from odoo those messages are received with no issues. Its only the general chat that isnt working

I had the same problem. Something additional, in my case, when the "client" sends me a message via WhatsApp I can receive it and respond from Odoo, but from the Pipeline model I don't see the messages in chatter
