I want to store my documents in file system (customised folder location) only rather than in Database .
I come across many solution but in all cases documents are stored in DB .
Is there any way to achieve this.

Activate developer mode. Go to Settings > Technical > System Parameters and make sure that "ir_attachment.location" is set to "file:filestore"
It is set but still in database binary data is stored.
Someone might have changed the settings of ir_attachment.location after the data was stored in the db.
