I saw a video today at youtube for making a landing page on odoo website at :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHGMvvH9CY4&index=3&list=UUkQPikELWZFLgQNHd73jkdg. There were lots of structuring block in odoo website shown in the video but when i use my website editting at my local machine, i have many of those blocks missing.
Why those blocks are not available in my latest odoo version 8.o?
Odoo has just finished an Indigogo crowdsource funding campaign to build 70 new themes for odoo. These themes have new building blocks included and they will start to be released for sale starting at the end of December 2014.
Odoo has promised to make 5 of the popular building blocks opensource as well as any code improvements that are made to the base odoo source and the design book for people to develop their own themes. So you will see some new improvements coming to the CMS system for free soon.
Odoo is also considering what other items they might release for free such as the possibly including a few of the 70 themes "out of the box", but nothing definitive has been decided.
