This question has been flagged

Let's say, I have the following scenario:

I run a self hosted odoo instance and programmed my own odoo module / app for our business purpose. About 10 users are using this app daily. Now I want to implement the premium module "accounting" (or another premium app) - but just 2 users need the access for it.

My question is the following: do I need to upgrade all of my 10 users to premium / enterprise status to grant access for the accounting module or is it possible just to upgrade 2 of my 10 users and restrict the user rights for those 2?

best regards

It is possible to restrict Apps to Users but Odoo is licensed by User, not Apps.

You would need to upgrade the whole database to enterprise ie for all 10 users and provide the necessary user access.

If 10 users use 1 App you pay the license for 10 Users.

If 10 users use all Apps you pay the license for 10 Users.

If X users use Y Apps you pay the license for 10 Users.
