Hello,

I was testing out the blanket order functionality when I came across this very strange error. The issue happened on odoo 16


First I created a product and defined a Vendor price of  $x.00.

I then went into the Purchase app and chose Orders->Blanket Orders.

I pressed CREATE and defined the various aspects of this Blanket Order.

In the products list I added the product created earlier and defined a price of $y.00, where y < x.

I confirm the blanket order and press the NEW QUOTATION button.

In that quotation I try to add the aforementioned product and as soon as I press TAB the Missing Record error pops up with the message I have put in the subject line.


Any help appreciated as I was hoping to counsel on the usage of Blanket Order given that odoo doesn't let us define a product list with discounts. The idea is to use the Vendor's highest price to calculate the selling price of products and a lower price specially negotiated with a supplier.


I think I am doing everything right but this error is causing some distress..

OK.

Just tried every possible way to get rid of this error. This seems like a bug or some design issue to me.

I went to the extent of reinstalling a fresh odoo container and the problem persists.

At present Blanket Orders and Purchase agreemens are completely useless in odoo 16.

I'll try a online version just to check out if there it works.

I'm now getting this same error in 2025... was this bug ever actually fixed?

I can successfully create records get records and link records via relationships, but updating a record has stumped me... this error just wont go away.

similar error i cant add anymore product in the cart via ecommerce front end.

Ok, it has  confirmed as a bug and it is in the fix pipeline.

Hope it gets resolved soon.

I'm getting a similar, but slightly different error.
Record does not exist or has been deleted.
(Record: product.product(315,), User: 2)

What is strange is that this was working, and I don't think I changed anything.
Have you anymore info on the bug?

Hello John,
I haven’t had any feedback on this besides the confirmation of the bug. I will try to see if it still works buggy on the runbot website. It’s time I retry the price extraction from the products’ supplier tab and fill in orders from blanket orders information.
Are you having this error of yours with the blanket orders as well?

Hello John,
Just tested the Community and Entrerprise editions of v16 and there is still an error when creating an RFQ out of a blanket order that is defined as being filled out manually item by item. The Record does not exist is not appearing anymore though.

Hello,

I have the same error when trying to populate an invoice.

I can create invoice lines with "old" products but not with new ones.

Does anyone have news concerning this issue ?


Got the answer: I was gettting the product_id from product.template instead of product.product
