Hello there,

I would like to be able to see the realized profit/loss based on specific sales orders.

We are using v16 EE

Basically for each sales order, we might be:

  1. Shipping from the stock
  2. Buying from a supplier and ship to the customer
  3. Buying raw materials from a supplier and sending it to a subcontracter and ship the final goods to the customer
  4. Buying raw materials from a supplier and sending it to a subcontracter and to our factory to be processed and then to another subcontracter then to the customer
  5. I pay commissions on each order and shipment/loading bills.

I want to see the final profit we make after we finalize the order. Basically:

Realized Revenue based on Delivery Amount - Subcontracting Fees, Shipment Fees, Delivery Fees, Raw materials Fess etc.

I am aware that Analytical Accounting might be a solution, but I feel like it is not the complete answer since we cannot create accounting plan for each order. Any other suggestions?

Any update on this? I'm am wanting the same.

Hello,

Have you enable the sales margin in sales order ?

I think you could create an Analytic Account for each sales order using an Automated Action:

This will create an analytic account for each SO

Hi Chris,

That was the solution I was thinking about, but I am not really sure if it would work for our case.

Do you think this is the best solution?

It's the simplest standard solution available, but requires extra manual work to link the other transactions to the Analytic Account. You can see how it is supposed to work with a Project (which also has an analytic account). It might also be possible to create a project to leverage that functionality)
