Example:

Two Types of beer of the same product category and with the same price.
Price for one beer is $5, but from 10 beers the unit price is $3.95
Selling 10 beers of the same type the "pricelist min. Qty condition" works and the unit price is $3.95.

But by selling 5 of each type the unit price remains $5 for the 10 units. Since the pricelist is applicable on product category, why the price is not recalculated to $3.95?

Thanks

Hi Ricardo: When you define the pricelist on product category, Odoo's interpretation is that it applies to each individual product in that category. It's just a convenient way to define 1 rule for all products in that category instead of having to define a rule for each and every product. The price/discount is always computed based on the quantity for the product on each line. AFAIK, there is currently no way to specify a pricelist that looks across products to determine the best price. That will have to be a customization.

Thanks Paresh for your answer, I posted the question to raise the subject of making it possible to apply price rules to a product category, would it be possible to maybe solve it with an automated action?

Hi Ricardo: It should be possible to do this via an automated action by overwriting the unit price and discount %, if you don't need a generic solution and it works this way for all pricelists defined for a product category. You will need to handle situations where the product or pricelist is changed by the user.
