When executing Inventory > Adjustments > Physical Inventory, the list only shows a few products (which are on hand). But all other (6000+ products) are not shown, so I cannot export, to adjust the 'counted' parameter, and re-import. Or is there another way to export-adjust-import inventory counts ?

Help highly appreciated !

Dear Hamid,

Thank you very much for your input ! Indeed, I need to export Product Variants, although I have no variants. Furthermore  I exported product_id/id , counted_quantity and added a unique id per product line in the import file. (e.g. Inventory1, Inventory2, ...)

If I import for the first time, it worked ! If I adjust again the counted_quantity , and not change the ID's (Inventory1, Inventory2) , I get an error. If I replace the ID's with a new unique ID, the products are duplicated, and in the end, one product gets an amount equal to the previous quantity, increased with the newly updated quantity.

So, I am almost there... but not yet. Any suggestion ?

Your help is highly appreciated !

It's not recommended to enter a quantity if there is currently no stock.  To create stock you should do a receipt (can be from a dummy supplier), or create a Purchase Order (also from a dummy supplier) and a receipt.

If you want to see all the inventory, create a new menu option for stock.quant and you can export / import from there.

Hi Dirk,

The adjustment list is not the list of the products. Export all your product variants and then with their external IDs add the required Location and the Counted Quantity and do the import.

Probably you will need to export your locations, too, if you have many locations. In this case, you should also use external IDs of the locations.

I hope it could help.
