Custom Filter

Question

Hi there,

i would like to filter for a number in a newly created field called season. If i type in a season number in the search bar i would like that Odoo now also searches through the newly created field.

At the moment in can only search through the default fields set up by Odoo.

If you want to add a new filter to the list, this question and answer has been posted before.
Without any coding, what you can do is going on your product list, create a custom filter, and to find part of a number, you must use the "contains" /"like" comparison for partial matches and "=" for exact matches.
In this example, I look up every product that contains a 9 in the price (list_price). ( debug mode is ON to see the advanced query).

And how would it work! If I wanted to search in my newly created field "season" for different things.

E.g. once I search for number 252 and another time 256. Can't I type this number in the search bar and then select search on the field "season"?
