Keep in mind when implementing Canada tax in Odoo

Canadian tax rates change. When importing Canadian localization, it is the [client's responsibility] to review the tax rates in odoo [up to date] with the [client's accountant]. Odoo provides software and standard packages but not accounting legal processes. Client is responsible to onboard inhouse or third party accountant during the implementation.

Sales tax

There is Federal tax and Province tax in Canada.

Federal tax can be GST alone or HST alone.
GST is a Canada-wide tax that can show up in two different ways, depending on the province in which your business is registered.

HST is Harmonized Sales Tax rate, which combines both the Provincial Sales Tax (PST) with the Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST)

Provincial tax is PST, RST or QST

Depends on the province, some provinces will collect both GST and PST
