We're struggling to get a decent layout on our quotations.

3 issues are at hand:

  • options should be positioned underthe calculation of the total amount on the quotation, not above.
  • possiblity to mention detailed prices or not (toggle on/toggle off)
  • possibiltiy to add the detailed description of the items on the quotation or not (toggle on/toggle off)

The main question is thus: is it possible to have different layouts for the same quotation where you select the layout you want as you print it?

Hello,
It is not possible in Odoo default but if you have installed studio in your database then you can manage the quotation based on custom condition

Hello Marc,

To address your three points:

1. Options below the total - The optional products section position in the QWeb quotation template is fixed by default. Moving it below the total block requires a template customization.

2 & 3. Toggle for detailed prices and descriptions - Odoo does not have built-in print-time toggles for these. The description field on each order line can be filled or left blank per line, but that is a data choice, not a layout switch. A true on/off toggle at the point of printing would need custom development.

4. Selecting a layout when printing - This is not available out of the box. The standard quotation report uses a single fixed template. It is achievable through a custom module that adds a layout selector on the quotation record itself, mapped to separate report templates, so the rep chooses before printing or sending.

All three items sit outside standard Odoo configuration and would require customization.
