A Dutch XAF = XML auditfile , is totaly standardized format. The purpose is to interchange between tax authoroties, the company and accountants. And their various software packages and databases.

It is by definition possible to migrate from accounting package 1 to accounting package 2 and back. Versions of databases are not relevant, Versions of software is not relevant.

For the community it should be more than nice to have such a module for both import and export. For Dutch tax authorities it is obligated by law to produce an XML auditfile on their request.

Is such a module available?

Can't the l10n_nl module handle it?

Thanx but no it can't.

Maybe you can post it on the dutch community site. Sadly I cannot post a link because of the karma points.

Actually one of the dutch partners has created a module to export an xml audit file.

As yet, there is no corresponding import. Although they warn in the description that it should be considered as beta code.

You might check it out. The launchpad project is: lp:~neobis/neobis-addons/7.0

This is interesting information. It is nice there is an XML audit file possibility. For Dutch tax authoroties this is an obligation. If people are not happy with OpenERP they can migrate to a lot of other accounting software packages. If an export code is available I assume an import code can use the same structure. If it is available we can start on the fly with exported data from other accounting software. This must be very interesting for OpenERP SA because in that case they can win a lot of new clients and even bigger companies for their software. Then OpenERP becomes really OPEN!
