We had OpenERP most stable version and around 10 GB of records.
Now we need to change many account code, but it shows errors

The proper (and in most countries only legal) way to do this is to close the accounts at the end of an appropriate period, establish the new accounts and to transfer the balances from the old to the new accounts. Anything else would be considered as illegal in all countries I know.

What happen if I change code via SQL direct in database ? Because its must need to change for a database. ??? Does OpenERP stop to work ???
