It seems password of PostgreSQL is not getting supplied to OpenERP when you start the server.

I have read somewhere about this issue but I don't know what is the reason behind this issue.

I can give you alternate solution. When you run your server from terminal you can pass your PostgreSQL password with option --db_password.

For Example:

python openerp-server --addons ../addons,../web/addons --db_password=your_db_password

I don't remember whether you have to pass password in quote or not. So just try it.
