Hello friends. We own a food distribution company and have 3 zones (freezer, refrigerator, dry) in our trucks and product needs to be loaded into those separate areas depending on which category it falls in and the customer invoice needs the same category breakdown for delivery.
My question, is there away to make a drop down selection under the product setup and assign them into categories? Then create printable categories on the pick ticket and invoice?
Example the invoice would list all freezer products, then all refrigerator products and finally dry goods like this:
Customer; ABC
FREEZER
- French fries
- Ice cream
- Fish sticks
- Frozen appetizers
REFRIGERATOR
- Tomatoes
- Chicken
- Beef
- Seafood
DRY
- Mops
- Paper towels
- Cleaning supplies
- Flour
- Sugar
- Bread
I'm sure there's an easy option but I'm not seeing it. Thank you in advance.

You can use module sale_layout, with this module you can personnalize the sale order and invoice report (not pick) with layout categories, subtotals etc. Unfortunately layout category is selected in sale order or invoice, not in in product or product category. It requires little customization.
