Hi I'm about to redo my website to connect to our OpenErp 7, and would like feedback as to know which e-commerce platform has the most mature and well developed connectors - with the ability to install beautiful sophisticated themes for rapid launch.
Please note I am not interested in Magento - at 14K for the open source version it is out of my budget. Any advice on other open source platforms would be great.
From OpenErp support:
"OpenERP have a module "ecommerce" which is a part of Extra-addons, It synchronizes automatically with popular open source eCommerce systems: OSCommerce, eZpublish, Magento, Joomla. It allows you to streamline and automate the sales process, from the online order to the delivery and the invoicing."
Prestashop is the answer, you can check their web site at http://www.prestashop.com It runs much faster than Magento (Magento runs so slow and structure is so unnecessarily complex) and very robust. Prestashop has features like 1 click Auto update and fast bug fixing. There is an active community for module development. Best open source Ecommerce I used. (I used Magento, Oscommerce, Virtuemart, Prestashop before)
There are also two connector project for Prestashop and OpenERP.
Prestashop E-commerce management using Open ERP. (Camptocamp & Akretion) For V7.0
OpenERP Prestashop Sync (Tech Receptives) (for 6.1 now)
Magneto âOpenerp Bridge
Note That I haven't used connectors yet. Bu
