Hi I'm about to redo my website to connect to our OpenErp 7, and would like feedback as to know which e-commerce platform has the most mature and well developed connectors - with the ability to install beautiful sophisticated themes for rapid launch.
Please note I am not interested in Magento - at 14K for the open source version it is out of my budget. Any advice on other open source platforms would be great.
From OpenErp support:
"OpenERP have a module "ecommerce" which is a part of Extra-addons, It synchronizes automatically with popular open source eCommerce systems: OSCommerce, eZpublish, Magento, Joomla. It allows you to streamline and automate the sales process, from the online order to the delivery and the invoicing."
I must be missing something here. The community edition of Magento is free, but you're on your own with support, of course, as with any FOSS software.
Just to be said, the module "ecommerce" is not the best option. Does it even works? You better look community connectors like prestashoperpconnect and magentoperpconnect.
Webkul provide connector for all three major e-commerce platforms :
