In our project we have chosen manufacturing lead time as 7 days ( in Companies -> Configuration). Also we have entered Security days as 4 days.
When we create manufacturing order we see that the scheduled date displays as today. Is it a bug or do we need to do any further settings. Any help is appreciated.

It will work when you create MO from SO suppose,
Create a product with route Manufacture and MTO and set delivery lead time and manufacturing lead time
now create BOM for that product.
Now create sales order for manufacturing product so, MO will create automatically and see that MO the date will calculate in Deadline start date.
