I need to know the meaning of the different types in the chart accounts, so I can related to the Moroccan chart of accounts.

    Bank and Cash
    Current Assets
    Non-current Assets
    Fixed Assets
    Current Liabilities
    Non-current Liabilities
    Current Year Earnings
    Other Income
    Direct Costs

    Thanks a lot

These terms are common accounting terms. Please ask an accountant or consult arbitrary accounting sources.

I need to know their meaning from Odoo point view (their impact on other modules, fields ...etc. Example customer account display only receivable/payable account ).

so that I can choose them properly especially for my country Moroccan accounting which is a little bit different from this (it's the case of each country)

    Hi Everybody

I got an answer, maybe it will help some of you.

1/ In the chart of accounts ( account.account ) we find a type of account where you should choose one of the list mentioned above.
2/ This type is used for 3 reasons:
         * To show accounting reports in a good format (grouped by type ...etc).
         * For Restrictions (Exemple : When you want to choose an account for customer, it will show you only accounts with type "Receivable" ).
         * In Financial year closure.

    Good Luck
