Thank for your responsed Staphen Mack. Sorry, I confused, win server not win 7. If unix, linux...? So, i shouldn't install saa-x because it isnt stable?

The saas-x versions are odoo's internal versions that they use to test new features for themselves and their online customers. I would not say that they are unstable, I would say that they are not officially supported and that you will have no community support. v8 has all of the features of saas-5 and v8 is currently receiving bug fixes and updates. v8 is a version that will be supported by OpenUpgrade in the future. If you install saas-5, what is your plan in the future for the system? Will you ever want to add new features?

Are you sure you want to install saas-5?  The saas branches contain Alpha features that may be included or discarded in future x.0 releases.  Odoo does not release installation packages for saas-x (not for unix nor for windows) and the community upgrade scripts do not support upgrading from saas versions.  Even odoo did not use saas-5 for their online customers very often.  Most were on saas-3 before being upgraded to 8.0 recently.

If you really want to install saas-5 on a windows server you will need to build the executable manually.  Odoo provides the files on nightly.odoo.com.  You will need the windows additional files that will allow you to build the executable.

Good Luck... you may need it as you may be the first and only person to run saas-5 on a windows server.
