I am following this tutorial (https://www.odoo.com/documentation/8.0/howtos/themes.html) to create a custom theme.

It says: "Run the server and update the theme (./odoo.py -u dummy_theme), then install the theme in the settings menu." Can somebody help how to install the theme in the settings menu?

When I goto settings->Modules->Updates, it says: "Nice! No updates :)" and when I try to search the newly created theme in Settings->Local Modules, it say: "No module found!". Am I doing something wrong?

Ok, I got the answer. : )

Actually 'Technical features' was not enable on my user. So What I did is:

1. Goto Settings
2. Select Users (in left menu)
3. Select the currently logged-in User
4. Click on Edit button
5. Enable "Technical Features"
6. Refresh the page
7. Click the "Update module list" from the left menu

Now when I can see the newly added module/theme in the search results.
