Hi

There was an edit icon in openerp 6.1 grid. It has been removed from openerp 7 and odoo 8. Right now, the user has to click on the a particular record on the tree view. It redirects to a the non editable form view of the particular record. Then the user has to click on the edit button inorder to update the record. This is not user friendly.

How do I achieve in the newer versions the same functionality that was available in 6.1 ?

Thank you,

Yes I do agree it is not so user friendly, but I dont think you can enable it, unless you are ready to mess with odoo framework...

So all you can do is, before opening child record, make sure parent record is in Edit mode, then when you click on lines, it will also be opened in edit mode only....
