Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software. It includes hundreds of business apps:
CRM | e-Commerce | Accounting | Inventory | PoS | Project management | MRP | etc.
There must be a way to change the name of a journal in Odoo 10 Community Edition but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get to the list of journals that is somewhere in the system. Most of the on-line documentation is for Odoo 10 Enterprise which appears to have a much different user interface (that makes things even more confusing).
I would expect Journals to be under: Accounting >> Configuration >> Journals. However, there is nothing available for journals. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The problem was directly linked to user settings. Ensure the following user setting for the user of interest:
Settings >> User >> [user of interest] >> Accounting & Finance >> Adviser.
To activate the change in user setting log out of Odoo.
Log back into Odoo. Journals can now be found at the following location:
Accounting >> Configuration >> Accounting >> Journals.
