Hi all, there is OCA module to change wrong payment mode before session close. Please refer the link https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/10.0/skit_pos_edit_payment_mode/
Using this OCA module we can cancel the wrong POS order instead of refunding.

I think it is not possible because once you register the payment in the POS it creates a journal entry or bank statement based on which type you have selected, with the payment method you have selected frist
To do that you have to refund the payment and select the new payment method
If you found a way to do that kindly share :)
UPDATE: to cancel the payment in POS sale Journal
Open the developer mode > go to Accounting > Configuration > Accounting > Journal and check the option "Allow Cancelling entry" then go to the payment page and cancel the payment, make sure cancelling module is installed

First we need to unreconcile the associated Journal entries and then we can cancel the payment and change the journal.But after confirming we cannot reconcile new journal entries of the payment record.
