I need to send to our customers the list of components included into our manufactured products.


Is there a way to produce such a list when the Sales Order is prepared?

Hi Thomas:

After confirming the Sales Order, go to Inventory > Overview > Delivery Orders and export the Delivery Order that was just created for that Sales Order. Select the following columns (in the Fields to export column on the right) - you can add more if needed - to extract the details of the Order, Customer, Products and the BoM components for the products in that delivery order.

NOTE: This can be done using out of the box functionality only after the order is confirmed and the delivery order is created. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a way to extract it at the time of quotation using built in functionality. However, you could customize the view to be able to extract this information for the quotation too.


You will get an Excel file with information like the following sample.

Go to Manufacturing > Configuration > Bill of Material Components, select all BOM lines and then click on export. On the export window, select "Export all data" as export type, you can then expand the product field to select the cost.
