I have set my odoo system according to the "User Doc" of "How to create tasks from sales orders?" (https://www.odoo.com/documentation/user/10.0/project/advanced/so_to_task.html) and want to generate project tasks automating when a sale order containing "Service" type product.

However, it wasn't working even after I have tried severals times.

I didn't find the the "Track Service" item when I set up a "Service" product.

Is this the reason which odoo system can't generate task automating? Or there some thing else cause the issue?
Anyone can give me some advice?

Please first make sure that Project and Timesheet applications are installed. Also, Sales > Settings, Unit of measure should be defined as "Some products may be sold/purchased in different units of measure (advanced)" in order you to be able to define unit of measure for service product in Days. Then create products with Service type with unit of measure being days and in Invoicing type, Track Service > Create a task and track hours. Create quote with this product with quantity in days and confirm the order. Then you can see that project and related task is created automatically. I wish this solves your problem.

Thanks for your advise. I found the "Track Service" item after installed Timesheets module and created a project task from a sale order successfully.

I thought the Timesheets module is optionally according "How to create tasks from sales orders?". Obviously, I misunderstood it.

Anyway, I can fulfill my working.
