Please go to Manage your Google Account and select Security



And turn on 2-Step Verification, after that, you will get the option for App passwords


Now create an App password and use that instead of the password in the odoo email configuration settings.

first  you need to login into your gmail account. then you will try it will work.(some time google account is asking verification code)

https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps. Just login into your gmail account.Before use this link.use above link and TURN ON secure apps.Then test your connection.

I have same problem, but I solved out it.


Please follow below step.


1.Go to 'My Account'  



2.Please select the 'Connected apps & sites'

3.Then you will see the 'Allow less secure apps: ON'


Please 'ON' that button.

4.Please try again to Press 'Test Connection' button.

For Google accounts, you must turn on the the option "Access for less secure apps".
