Hi,

anyone would be so kind to point out what I'm doing wrong?

I've been modifying the robots view in Odoo 13.0, from Settings > Technical > Interface > Views, trying to let google to index my website created from the Website module, but to no avail. When I check <my website>/robots.txt, it shows only:

User agent: *

Disallow: /

My odoo server runs in Ubuntu 20.10, behind an Nginx server.

Thanks

here we go:

1. goto settings menu in the top (as an administrator user)

2. choose in the left panel the menu: user interface

3. choose views

4. Then search and select for the view with the following name/contents "robots"

5. Duplicate this view

6. Change the name of this view immediatly to for e.q. “myrobots”

7. Save <-- just to be sure

8. Choose Edit

9. At the selection of "inhebited view” pick the original view "robots"

10. Change the content of the view with the adjustments needed.

11. Finally save the view.

 Step 5 important

Hope this will solve

This does not seem to fix the Google Console indexing issue, also, it does not make too much sense in the first place.

Why would you duplicate this view if you can simply change the original one? What's the rationale here? Also, duplicating, or in actual terms creating another view and naming it whatever does not allow you to choose the appropriate (Model Data) and (External ID). The newly created view may be very much useless.

Changing robots.txt file from where one is supposed to change it, in Odoo setting menu also does not seem to change anything.

I get in touch with Odoo support via chat to ask why all of this is so, and they redirect me to a form to purchase a subscription.

More than happy to purchase a subscription, but does that fix the google indexing blocked by robots.txt issue? If yes, then why not say that this is a subscription feature?

Hi,

Try use the following community application.

https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/13.0/website_no_crawler/

Bonjour, vous n'auriez pas svp le module inverse qui plutot de tout bloquer autorise l'indexation de toutes les pages ?
