Hello,

Our team want to fork and start work on our branding with different normal license term.

How can we do this with which version ?

You can rebrand from V6.1 provided you don't change the license and respect it.

If you fork V6.0, you cannot rebrand the web interface.

if you fork 6.1, 7.0 or 8.0, your fork will be APGL and fo whatever you change and also for modules you add, you have to follow AGPL and publish all your code.

if you fork 9.0, your fork will be LGPL anything you change will be LGPL but modules you add can be proprietary and undisclosed. Take care to NOT combine community modules under AGPL with your own soup.

If your objective is to play your own business on your side, definitly V9.0 is done for you.

In case we build our web interface then ? does need to keep their logo ? we build from scratch as separate work, does version 9 we can use and build own private module ? and private web interface ?

As per your comment, version 9 would be great to keep private module and we can rewrite complete web client for our specific business domain purpose, because odoo partnership is hell and their policy never be in benefits to other people other then leads only.

yes, it's up to you

We forked 6.1 with own web interface, does any issue raise ? shall we use fork 7.0 as backend and our new web interface with 7.0 ?

You must respect AGPL license.

Since you derived your code from 6.1, you MUST publish your code, both the originla code you modifierd AND all the modules you added. Where is the download link ?
