For some reason, Odoo isn't letting me create customers with the email field empty. I reset the database after testing, and it didn't used to force me to set emails but now it does. How do I work around this?
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project management
- MRP

Hi,
If you are creating a new customer the email is not required. But if a customer is assigned as a related partner for a user, then the field email become as required field.
Go to customers menu , create a customer, you can create a customer without email. Now go to Users and create a user , when creating user , a partner will also get created. Now go to customers and open that partner form, now for that partner/customer the email will be required field.
Thanks
I created employee and users, but they're set as "is a customer" and trying to remove that requires setting email. Is there any workaround?

Okay, if any field like phone number is set, I'm required to input email.
