I am a rookie using odoo for production of furniture ,there are many  steps in production . First cutting wood , then drilling holes etc. The question is that when i set the work orders in work center of production , they can all run together, thats not how it works on us . I want to set the workflow with a way that you can't have all the work orders run in production at the same time , they have to run one after another after each individual work order is finished. For example the cutting wood has to be finished before the drilling starts .Does that have anything to do with the routes , should i set more ?

Hi,

To define dependencies between operations in Odoo Manufacturing:

1) Enable Work Order Dependencies:

Go to Manufacturing > Configuration > Settings. Under the Work Orders section, enable "Work Order Dependencies".

2) Enable 'Operation Dependencies' in the BoM:

Go to Manufacturing > Products > Bills of Materials. Open the BoM of your product. Under the Miscellaneous tab, enable "Operation Dependencies".

3) Configure Dependencies Between Operations:

In the Operations tab of the BoM, click on each operation line to open its details. Use the "Blocked By" field to define dependencies:

Select the operation(s) that must be completed before this one can begin.

 Example:

Cutting Wood Operation: Set "Blocked By" as blank.

Drilling Holes Operation: In the "Drilling Holes" operation details, set "Blocked By" to the "Cutting Wood" operation.

Hope it helps
