When only having asm in house use manufacturing or buy to warehouse?

We design our products and to all the assembling in-house how should we set up these articles in the system? Should you have them as manufacturing parts? if so to to make this as they are going to be produced at a sub contractor? Or should they be handled as (buy) purchasing products?

Or how to work in this case?
