Heading the IT IS group: Joerg “Joe” Lorenz, the CEO of IT IS AG Joerg “Joe” Lorenz started programming computers at the age of 13. His first computer was a BASIC-programmable pocket computer with a blazing 400 bytes of memory. Later he switched over Atari ST towards his own PC. Moving more into electronics and computer science, he graduated as Master of Science (Dipl.-Ing.) in engineering at the Technical University of Munich. Subsequent he continued researching at the University of Pennsylvania on neural networks and post graduated. Already during his time at the Munich University, he started as a volunteer, writing many articles on soft- and hardware for “CHIP”, a renowned German computer publication. Later, he worked as an editor of the same magazine and built up a press correspondence office in the USA from scratch. For years he was in the marketing department of Microsoft Germany. He stood on stage together with Bill Gates in his role as press spokesperson responsible for Mid-market and professional product line of Microsoft. Since more than 15 years, he acts as the CEO IT IS AG, a great company for implementing odoo and building extensions towards Business Solutions like Dynamics NAV. Today he is on the board of directors for the other members of the IT IS group. His passion is to get excellent results for our IT IS customers and using IT as a valuable instrument in the ever changing, yet constraints driven world of today.
